Online Bidding with Greater Giving

What You Can Expect

This year’s auction will use Greater Giving Online Bidding – allowing for a paperless bidding system. You will bid on Silent Auction Items using your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop. Also, you can easily track Items by “following” their activity without having to continuously return to a table or bid sheet. 

Recommended browsers are Firefox, Google Chrome, and Safari. 

How to Bid with Online Bidding

To begin bidding on items you must register online:

1. Click the button at the top right of the page ‘Silent Auction Bidding.’

2. You will be redirected to the bidding page. 

3. Click ‘Get Started.’

4. You will be redirected to a page where you can either sign in or create an account*.

5. Your email is/will become your username.

*If you are creating an account for the first time you will need to verify your account through your email before you are allowed to begin bidding.

If you are bidding through your smartphone:​

1. Check that your cell phone number is registered correctly.

2. You will receive a text message with a link that will redirect you to the bidding page with a list of all available Items.

3. Click on the Item you wish to bid on.

4. You will be redirected to a page where a blue button ‘Bid $’ and green button ‘Bid More’ will appear. 

5. If available, there will also be a button labeled ‘Buy Now’ where you can purchase the Item for the price listed.

6. Click the star icon to save the Item to your Favorites.

7. Use the menu in the top left to view Items you have bid on, favorited, or to browse by Category.

8. When the auction closes, you can find Items you have won in the ‘Bids’ area of the menu.

If you are bidding through your tablet, laptop, or desktop:

1. Once you have signed in or verified your account you will be redirected to the main bidding page.

2. Click on the green ‘Start Bidding’ auction gavel icon.

3. You will be redirected to the bidding page with a list of all available Items.

4. Click on the Item you wish to bid on.

5. You will be redirected to a page where a blue button ‘Bid $’ and green button ‘Bid More’ will appear. 

6. If available, there will also be a button labeled ‘Buy Now’ where you can purchase the Item for the price listed.

7. Click the star icon to save the Item to your Favorites.

8. Use the menu in the top left to view Items you have bid on, favorited, or to browse by Category.

9. When the auction closes, you can find Items you have won in the ‘Bids’ area of the menu.
